The beginnng of the first chapter

Its wierd having the ability to speak your mind.  It is in a sense liberating to say what you want. Even though we live in a country that encourages freedom of speech the implied meaning is really you can say what you want but we strongly discourage new and different ideas.  I know personally my ideals have been pushed to the limits by this kind of ideology.  So to be able to speak on this open forum is very different and kind of amazing so i hope that some one reads this and if they dont then I guess im ranting off into the vastness of the Blogger.  I think the most interesting thing I heard today was that we all have "freedom of speech but not freedom from speech."  It's kind of how society works and operates today just because you have an idea or opinion doesnt necessarily entitle you to voice it without consequences.  So what do you out there think?  I know you all have opinions and voices so i begin the Point of View with this.  Do you think that you have freedom of speech if you cant voice your beliefs without consequences?
